We’re all searching for something… am I right? For some, it’s fame. For most, it’s money. I’m not going to claim to be anything special, but I can promise that I am looking for so much more. I’m looking for love. I’m looking for happiness. Sweet, huh? Let me explain. Specifically, I am looking for love and happiness in the form of a chilled, slightly salt rimmed margarita on the rocks.
I know what you’re thinking. Tequila makes your clothes fall off. Tequila is the devil. Tequila is a one-way ticket to an evening in the slammer for public intoxication or worse. For the record, I’m not disagreeing with two of those three statements and will leave you to guess which, but in the realm of margaritas, a disagreement that is tearing friendships apart must be settled immediately for the sake of society’s margarita lovers. The question is: which Athens establishment curates this cocktail so perfectly that it is unmatched by any other?
Lucky for you, a hero among us has volunteered to take on the burden of this seemingly impossible task. I solemnly swear that I, Kailey Wobrock, a graduate student at the University of Georgia, will find the best margarita in Athens and publish my findings in this humble blog space that we will refer to as Slightly Salty.
Cheers, Kailey
